The perfect and latest updated football tools you have, the better it is for your team. Getting the tools right is will definitely give you an advantage over the rival teams. American football has the most number of tools needed when it comes to practices and playing the game itself- trying comparing it to Soccer or Basketball for instance.

There are basically tools both for the coaches (staffs) and for the players themselves; there are two types of equipment for players- one set is for training and the other is for each individual player.

The staffs-coaches- need to be able to communicate effectively amongst themselves. This is because of the size of a football team, complications within a game and the players’ positions, etc. What they need is headsets. The head coach, like the ones in other types of sports, shall have a notebook or a playbook where they can write the teams’ play and draw out tactics for the play. This is important because coaches need to visualize each play and draw a tactic to counter it. During practices for plays or drills, the coaches need to be equipped with whistles. Most importantly, the coaches need to distinguish themselves by wearing some sort of a uniform.

For the players, each of them will have their own personal equipments and that includes; uniform- shirt, pants and helmet- for protection, pads- shoulders and knees pad so that the areas can be protected in a rough game. The team usually supplies cleats to the players too, unless it is a small high school team where the players usually have to buy them theirselves. The team will also have to practice tackles with dummies or use pads to practice pushes.  The most important tool for practicing a football team is none other than the gym. Football players definitely need to bulk-up their body and build body mass to get in shape for a rough and tough game of tackling. It is very important for these players to be supplied with fitness weights or any other sorts of equipments that will enhance their football skills.

As for the training or practices equipments, drills are needed. Teams’ coaches will design their own pattern of drills for practices because they’d know what will and will not be needed- both the defensive and offensive team will need to have their own drills to run.

Last but not the least, the most important tool any football team should have is Gatorade. If a team already has all the equipments that are necessary for practice and plays, then it should have a big container of Gatorade filled with ice so that the players can pour it over the coach when they win. This is a tradition that will make you can’t wait to win.
