The NFL is nothing but business. According to a special report ‘The Business of Football’ and NFL Team valuations by Forbes.com, The Washington Redskins alone generates revenue of 287 million dollars. Players, owners, advertisers, and other industries are altogether part of this huge business.

However, one of the biggest gainers in this business is, of course, the gamblers- ‘Sports bettors wagered $2.1 billion in Nevada's licensed sports books in 2004’ By Bob Riha Jr., USA TODAY. Officially, bets are not legal unless the establishment has a gambling license. Anyhow, the betting usually does go on privately. People take the time and effort to follow the teams because it gives them a better chance to win the bet for the Super Bowl game.

The Super Bowl is very much publicized and over-the-top; parties are thrown on the day of the game. The day of the game is quite special especially if the team competing is from your state- you could see people celebrating and selling merchandises at every corner.
