Being recruited to become a college footballer or a professional footballer of the best teams is a success every footballer dreams of. Unfortunately, your skills are not only what it takes to make the dream come true, but also your luck.

When it comes to the recruitment process, the recruiter or scouts will often only look for players from the best teams in the league. So you often have to be a part of the best, because being the best in a random team might not get you a chance to be watched. Apart from luck, dealings for a spot in a college football team will not be done unless you show some dedication and skills in a camp before the football season starts.

This is because, college football teams are expected to bring fame and reputation to the school; and that is winning the Rose Bowl or at least a Bowl. Being recruited is quite a big success because not only do you get to play for college team and have a chance to become a professional, but you will also be offered a scholarship.

On the other hand, being recruited as a professional footballer doesn’t require only skills and dedication, but also a strong and powerful personality- a leadership and respectful quality for example. Many college footballers want to turn pro, but only a few gets through with the recruitment. It can be very stressful knowing that someone is noticing your performance and you’ve to do all it takes to bring out the best; the player can have anxiety attacks, flight rather than fight, and could lose a life-time offer just because of a single game.
